M18x R2, LCD display failure
Display on my laptop is out. 8 beep code on startup. Single graphics card model, which was replaced and repasted. LCD is also new. Doesn't connect to external display. About 10 seconds after I power it on, fans stop and code comes. Screen totally black, no lights. Anyone know about this?

Here are some things you can try (at your own risk)
1. Remove the power adapter, battery and CMOS battery. Use a screwdriver to bridge the two small pins where the CMOS battery plugs into the motherboard. Replace everything and try to boot. If you get a 5 beep code then switch it off and reboot again.
2. Check all the LCD cables. You may have crimped one or not connected it properly when putting the machine back together.
3. Reseat the GPU.
What GPU do you have in it?
