m18 R2, keyboard layout
Myself and my business colleague have both purchased an M18 R2 laptop. Both have come with some of the key labels transposed, particularly on the numbers row 1 - 9 are above their corresponding shifted symbol, i.e. 1 is above exclamation mark etc., rather than below as is generally the case. All the other symbols are also transposed, e.g. curly brackets are below square brackets. It feels weird to use them as they are currently printed. Anyone know why they have done this?

To what Laptop model are you comparing the m18 R2 keyboard?
The m18 R2 sales site shows the keyboard layout =
The m18 R2 Owner's Manual page 9 shows same picture. The m18 R1 Setup and Specifications shows same.

@DELL-Chris M Exactly, so why are the number keys above the symbols which require the use of the shift key and not on the lower row as on a regular UK keyboard?

"regular UK keyboard"
Each division (Alienware, XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, Precision, etc.) have different product manager and engineer that decide what a model will or won't have as far as specification. That includes the keyboard layout.

That may be the case, but Dell have not followed accepted practice. It just doesn't make any sense!!

Is there a way to order a normal keyboard?
