m18 R2, backlit keyboard time out
I recently gave my wife my M18 R2 with i9-14900HX and 4070 graphics card. She (an accountant) missed her "calc" button that was on her Dell Precision, so I figured out how to map the F4 key as a calc button using the AWCC. It does that now (press F4 and the calculator comes up), but somewhere in that process, now the keyboard and all other lighting (Alien head power key, Alien head on lid, and rear lighting) time out after a short period of time. Pressing any keyboard key brings up the lighting (but touching the touchpad doesn't do it), but only for a short time. Any idea how I did this and how I can get back the original "lights on all the time?" I wouldn't mind if the keyboard lighting timed out, but I like the Alien head power key on so I can see power status. And I don't know how to control the lighting time out. Is there a setting in the AWCC that I changed accidentally? I did change the BIOS setting for the F keys, but this should not have affected keyboard lighting time out (which in many iterations of BIOS ago for older Alienware computers used to be selectable and controllable, but is no longer a BIOS option).
Thanks!

For those interested, this turned out to be (apparently) a BIOS problem, not sure if the BIOS was corrupted or just messed up when I changed the settings. I was having trouble with Microsoft Outlook acting weirdly, and had to reimage the computer. That didn't fix the keyboard lighting timeout problem. So I reset the BIOS to factory settings.
What's strange to me is that the computer did this at all. It suggests to me that the keyboard backlight timeout option does reside in the BIOS, perhaps as an afterthought that was never cleared out even though the option to enable it was removed. How it got enabled remains a mystery to me.
