m18 R2, are there any portable Powerbanks compatible?
Alienware m18 R2
So I am going into college soon and have saved up enough money to buy a gaming laptop. I settled on a Alienware M18 R2, and I really love it. The one problem I'm having with it is its battery life, which when not doing any gaming is about 3-4 hrs. I did some research and its battery capacity is ~8500mAh (97Wh and 11.4V), and the charger that came with it is 360W. I'm not sure what happens if you try to charge it using usb c or a lower wattage charger.
I was wondering if anyone knows about a portable charger that would be compatible with my laptop to extend the time I can use my laptop. Thanks!

The only way to charge that system is with the barrel connected AC adapter, and the only way to run it at full power is to use the original AC adapter -- anything less will not run the system at full speed. It does not charge over USB at all.
If the system is new enough that you're still covered by return privileges (30 days from shipment if purchased from Dell), you may want to consider a more modest system if you need longer battery runtimes -- this one is just not going to deliver that.

If you did not mind to walk around campuses with a computer on your back, maybe carrying a power bank will certainly making you stand out at school. Despite the category of portable, the m18 R2 is actually a computer with 18" monitor. Hence its power requirement is more than that of an OptiPlex mini tower and a monitor combined power.
You can search for green energy power bank that can replenish itself during the day. An example as pictured below.
