m18 R1, Samsung 9100 Pro 4 TB NVMe M.2

I picked up a Samsung 9100 Pro 4 TB NVMe M.2 to use as a secondary drive in the system. However, it is not detecting in bios when in the port. I have swapped the drive ports and the main drive is still detecting. So, I know it is not the system's NVMe port. I have also put the Samsung 9100 Pro in an external enclosure and it detects just fine.  However, when in an external enclosure, I can not get even 1/10th of the speeds the drive is capable of. Does anyone know why the drive may not be detecting on the internal NVMe ports?
