m16 R2, must press power button many times to turn it on

I have the Alienware m16 R2 laptop and I have to press the power button many times to turn it on.  The first time I press it the alien head light turns on then it goes off. So I have to long press the power button once more and then the computer will turn on. Some times I have to do it 5 or 6 times for the PC to start.
