I unsuccessfully tried Kinston Fury, would not boot.

16GB x 2 (KF560S38IBK2-32)

I'm guessing it has to do with the XMP because it wouldn't even boot to the default 4800. I was planning to run profile #2 but there is no option to select the profile in Bios or with AW Command Center.

- default: 4800, CL40-39-39, @ 1.1v

- XMP profile #1: 6000, CL38-38-38, @ 1.35v

- XMP profile #2: 5600, CL40-40-40, @ 1.1v

- XMP profile #3: 4800, CL38-38-38, @ 1.1v

I couldn't get mine to recognize two 32 GB sticks of Samsung DDR5 RAM; however, I was able to update my laptop using Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz Laptop Memory -  CT2K16G56C46S5.

@Clinchfield yes, I used the same crucial ram. Worked just fine. Glad it worked for you as well!

The crucial ram has been hit or miss. Sometimes it works, then all of sudden (possibly after BIOS or other updates) it won't boot any more when both sticks are installed. If I remove one 16gb crucial stick, then it will boot. It seems to hate running both sticks. (Both sticks work perfectly fine in single channel).

I have never seen a windows laptop as bad as this one in terms of RAM issues and compatibility. Not sure what they did wrong, but the compatibility is atrocious and you can find many posts online of people struggling to get this laptop to boot with all types of different RAM manufacturers. It is a shame because I like the laptop otherwise, but every month or two I have to spend several hours struggling to get the PC to boot again by removing one stick of ram just to get it to boot, reset the bios to default settings, reinstall the second ram, and pray. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This was my first Alienware and unfortunately, probably my last.

For the crucial ram, for some reason the K2 in part number is required. Also- the documentation says the system will support up 64GB,  but it will support up to 96BG
