m16 R2, HELP!! Stuck in Nvidia-Intel Purgatory need BIOS 1.19.0, getting 404.
Following the clean reinstall prodedures I've updated all the firmware, windows updates, dell drivers and continue to have the onboard intel video and Nividia fighting, windows isn't helping. Have used DDU to completely rip out all the old drivers numerous times, in safe mode , have reinstalled Intel and then Nvidia drivers correctly. Have rebuild the local PNP, have purged unused .inf references, have reinstalled the OS (over top, not a full reinstall) . Ever since i upgrade my bios to 1.14.0 this went haywire.
Bios hardware scan shows all is working correctly, this is software / bios not hardware failing.
AI says I should be able to get and download this bios where supposedly they fixed these very problems that 1.14.0 causes, but no joy no matter what i do. 1.14.0 seems to have introduced gpu gobbling, and everything is sluggish.
I'm willing to drop back to the previous bios if I can. And BTW, I refuse to pay $200.00 to purchase long term support when it was DELL that messed this up WITH their drivers. That isn't right. I can't even get on the phone with a rep without a service tag number, how ridiculous. Why would I ever buy another Dell??

Quick addition - system sluggish, all but siezes up downloading (such as if waiting on chatgpt to provide an answer), and error code 43 with those lovely yellow exclamation points in device manager, can't use external monitors (not even showing up, CTRL P doesn't find them) suddenly the resolution will change as it "tries" to go back and forth between the intel and nvidia, and running the nvidia control panel does nothing.... clicking on it does nothinng - it seems to instantly unload / not start in the system tray.

That system resolves as an Alienware m16 R2, for which the latest firmware is 1.14. There is no 1.19.

I removed the private link showing the Service Tag.
The provided (now removed from public view) private Service Tag does appear as a m16 R2 purchased from Best Buy.
Warranty start date = April 2, 2024
Warranty end date = June 22, 2025
Under Drivers & Downloads--> BIOS I also only see up to 1.14.0 August 13, 2025.

@DELL-ChrisM2 Can you offer me anything more constructive than telling me what I know already and where I bought my paperweight Chris? I'm sorry for the tone here but as far as the ticked off and fed up scale of 1 to 10, I'm at a 12. Can you look into it? Have you searched your KB to see if there are any known problems or bugs on this bios level - checked open incidents to look for a pattern perhaps of recent influx of like issues?
Below are just a few examples of the problems your site ... so which is more likely, something got generated / pulled / moved or someone is out in the ether making things up? I've been all over the place looking to find answers, and have see this link on reddit elsewhere https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER13567890M/1/Alienware_m16_R2_1.15.0.exe but it gets a 403 now,
Mass delusion?
I haven't touched anything / made any changes, I take your "CRITICAL" updates and after dell nags me all the time I relent and instead of a tighter / better system I'm blown out of the water. I have a $2300.00 paperweight with a creepy alien logo on it, and if I want it working I have to pony up the cash. I have OVER TWO DAYS into trying to fix this thing that YOU GUYS BROKE.
.
Dell forums are full of users complaining about 404 errors on driver/BIOS downloads - nothing to see here though?
and on and on and on.

@DELL-ChrisM2 please see below......
So essentialy guy #2 and guy #3 who have the identical problem I have, precipitated by the 1.14 flash, were able to speak to someone and get the link to the file. Unfortunately on 6/22 I am out of warranty I can't speak to someone to have the fix sent to me. If you can drop the file off for me at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UDqBihDOhDz6ZEEaot1JgzMT0YbHlBeZ?usp=drive_link that'd be hugely appreciated.

Hi
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, or ANYWHERE ELSE.
Alienware m16 R2 (2025 Model)
Latest BIOS Version: 1.9.0
Release Date: 09 January 2025
Installation: This BIOS can be updated directly through Windows or from the BIOS Flash Update menu via a USB drive. Suspend BitLocker before updating and ensure the PC is not powered off during the process.
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The provided (now removed from public view) private Service Tag does appear as a m16 R2 purchased from Best Buy. Warranty start date = April 2, 2024
My search does throw up (bARF bARF),
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=f7n4n
AND Check compatibility
Enter your Dell Service Tag or model
So you risk bricking it if you try to apply the above, because I believe it is an incorrect version for your device.

The service tag discussion was to resolve the confusion about the model. You had originally stated M16 R1.
m16 R2 BIOS 1.15.0 was demoted/removed by the Alienware team. I cannot get access to BIOS 1.15.0. All I and you can do at this point is to periodically check the m16 R2 Drivers & Downloads page to see if a new BIOS is released.
Note, once the BIOS is upgraded to 1.14.0, you cannot downgrade the BIOS to version 1.9.0 or earlier. But maybe as workaround to issues seen with BIOS 1.14.0, you could attempt to force a downgrade from BIOS 1.14.0 to BIOS 1.12.0.

I would edit/delete my unhelpful post if I could.
