m16 R2, charging through USB-C?

Alienware m16 R2
Trying to charge my laptop through USB-C. I have a 65W Anker power brick and am plugging into the Thunderbolt 4 port. My laptop says "slow charger", and a 3rd party program (HWiNFO 64) says I have a 0 watt charge rate. Customer service said it wouldn't work because my laptop "needs 240W of power to charge" despite HWiNFO saying I'm charging at 45W with the included 240W brick and 30% battery level. I've given up on customer service and am hoping someone who actually knows the product can give me a straight answer, even if it is that Dell disabled USB-C charging. Thanks in advance.

This forum post has more information but the problem you see is due to a non-Dell Power brick.

I don't think you'll find any Alienware systems capable of charging over USB-C/Thunderbolt.

Unfortunately the latest M16 R2 does not support USB-C power delivery. I believe only the X line do, like the x16. (For your interest, @ejn63)

@Gaveroid that's not true, m16 r2 supports PD through TB4 - the thing is only 65W is not enough for this laptop, I have an official dell wd22tb4 which has 130W and it still gives me the warning that it is not enough power (but it works and charging). And yes I connect wd22tb4 to the Thunderbolt.

FWIW, my experience is that the m16 R2 won't take any charge from either USB C port when powered on. I tried using a charged with an LED readout showing the power draw and it reported 0W being drawn. Windows reported that an underpowered charger was connected, which I expected, but I had hoped I could get some charging out of just the USB C charger, especially if no graphics or CPU intensive tasks were being performed.
