m16 R2, can't reinstall Windows 11 on new NVMe
I've got a new Alienware M16 R2 that I've put a 2tb Samsung 990 in as the boot drive to expand from the 1tb drive it comes with. I'm trying to use the Dell restore program to reinstall Windows 11 but it can never install updates. During the install it will hang during the "applying updates" part at 6% and eventually reboot only to do the same thing after reboot. All I've done is replace the nvme with a bigger one, I'm using the official Dell tools to try to reinstall Windows but it just can never get past updates. Any suggestions? (I've also put the original drive back in but it has already applied updates so there is nothing for it to try to do )

Use Microsoft Windows Creation Tool to make a USB installer. Perform a clean Windows installation then allow Windows updates to install all needed drivers, including all optional drivers. Then, verify Device Manager for any unknown driver, get those missing drivers from Dell support site.
Run Windows updates and verify if the issue gets resolved.

Using the standard Windows 11 installer seems to have bypassed most of the update issues I was having, although there are still a couple of Intel updates that simply fail immediately. But I'm pretty sure that's another issue entirely.
