m16 R2, AWCC causing WMI Provider Host high CPU usage and Event Viewer errors

Alienware m16 R2

Alienware m16 R2

I just bought a new m16 R2 a few weeks ago and I have everything updated. AWCC 6.6.14.0. WMI Provider Host CPU usage is constantly sitting around 3-7% and spikes higher. Event Viewer is being spammed every second with WMI-Activity errors. When I uninstall AWCC, WMI Provider Host CPU usage drops down to around 0.1-0.2% and the errors stop generating. I don't want to have to keep AWCC uninstalled, it was part of the appeal in my purchasing decision, and keeping it uninstalled should not be a solution for such an expensive device.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

I'm wondering when this issue will be resolved, almost 1.5 years with my laptop and its still not fixed. The WMI Provider Host consistently consumes about 6% of CPU resources due to Alienware Command Center (AWCC), even when the system is idle. This persistent usage leads to passive heating and significantly reduces battery life when the laptop is unplugged.
