m15 R6, Falling asleep and not waking up
I’ve been reading the threads people with the same issue created, since my $3000 M15 R6 started doing the same. Falling asleep and not waking up. At the beginning restarting it by keeping the power button pressed worked, until one day it didn’t work anymore. So that day I read about someone who removed the back plate and unplugged the battery. It worked twice, in a span of two months, until one day it went to sleep and it never, ever woke up again. Last thing the laptop did (couple of days prior to going completely dark) was a BIOS update.
Tried removing the battery and everything, I read every single post, found nothing useful and nothing I’ve tried worked.
Please, I need help. The power button led is erratic, sometimes it blinks blue, at moments it’s steady blue and them it dims on and off, then goes dark, and so on. There’s no luminous code nor any type of clue about what is wrong with my laptop.
I’ve read I should I replace the battery, then someone suggested it may be the power supply socket in the back of the laptop, then someone suggested it may be the power supply itself. I have no idea and I’d love to have it working again.
It’s frustrating to spend this much money in such a piece of useless. Please help!

Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the mainboard. Hold the power button for 30 sec. With the battery disconnected, plug in the AC adapter and see if the system will power up on AC only.

@ejn63 I did what you suggested and the laptop doesn’t turn on but the LED is now dimming and cycling blue/white/yellow, then in turns off and glows again steady blue for about 15 seconds and the cycle starts again. Seems erratic at times because it would blink in blue every now and then.

Try repeating the reset, this time removing and reinstalling the memory modules after powering off and with the battery disconnected. If that doesn't get the system to power up, chances are you need a mainboard replacement.

@ejn63 Okay, tried all you have suggested, repeatedly. Nothing works.
Btw, I really appreciate your help and the fact that you’re taking the time to assist me.
Is there any way to be certain about the motherboard replacement? If so, where would you suggest I can acquire it?
Are these motherboards generic or they vary depending on GPU? Mine is a 3080. I can look for the exact specs and model #’s.

There's not much you can do other than repalce the board at this point -- and the boards have both the GPU and CPU aboard.
This is probably the board you have
