m15 R5, no display on LCD or external monitor
Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5
I have just recently download and updated my drivers - thats all drivers on the drivers and downloads page of the Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5, and after that my laptop screen went blank but my external monitor was on. Then I disable the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti/3080/3070 Ti/3060/3050 Ti Graphics Driver, both my laptop and external monitor went off.
I tired this following troubleshooting methods:
- holding the power button down for 30 seconds and restarting.
- BIOS rest - removing back cover and removing battery and holding for 30 secs and then restarting
- Reseating RAM slots
This methods have not worked. I am now wondering if the GPU is disabled or not working. I need help and assistance is regards to this. If anyone can assist with this would be great.
I patiently await your replies or response.

Does the power button show any diagnostic light codes? If there is a hardware failure then you should get one of these codes.

You could try running the LCD test using this technique but it usually won't help with a blank screen.

If it is a driver or Windows issue then you could try removing your C: drive to see if you can get the display working with no storage device getting in the way. It obviously won't boot to Windows but you should be able to get into the BIOS. Or you could try spamming F2 after you hit the power button to get into the BIOS before Windows tries to load. Also try F12 to get into the Boot Menu.
If you can get into either of these then there's a chance that it's just a software glitch.

@mattyb3 the diagnostic code that i got was "Display Failure - SBIOS message". I have tried all the diagnostic repairs and fixes which includes BIOS reset and reseating RAM modules.
I have also tried disconnecting the SSD but still no display on the screen. It still flashes 2 red 7 blue code - "Display Failure - SBIOS message".
Any more options?

Was one of the updates you did a BIOS update? I've seen people have your exact issue after doing one of these updates.

@mattyb3 Hey, I am having the same issue. I tried reseting the CMOS by removing the main battery and the power cord and holding the power button for 60 secs. I tried removing the ssd and tried to boot into bios nothing posted on the external monitor or the main one with the same 2 red 7 blue message. However with the ssd it does post on an external display. All I did was try to change the thermal paste.
