m15 R5, cannot adjust my brightness level
Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5
Roughly two weeks ago, I started experiencing problems with my brightness level. I keep adjusting the slider from the keyboard and windows settings, but it does not decrease the brightness level - it is stuck at the max. A simple restart would fix this in the beginning, but not anymore. Yesterday, I tried reinstalling the AMD display card driver and the Nvidia one, which seemed to fix it until the next shutdown. Today, when I started the device the slider, does not work again.
Has somebody experienced the same issues and if yes, please how did you fix it?

I have a solution as well. I went to Dell Support and installed NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti/3060/3070 Ti/3080 Ti Graphics Driver from the Drivers Tab.
Hope this helps

I found a solution that worked for me that doesn't involve downgrading the driver.
I believe the issue is with "Advanced Optimus" and can be disabled in the BIOS. See this post here:

I'm in the same boat. For me, it happened after I installed the new bios.

I found a solution for my problem. I installed the previous Nvidia Geforce update, going from Driver Version: 526.47 to Driver Version: 522.25, and the brightness setting immediately work as normal.
Link to download previous Nvidia drivers.

Please ignore my comments about bios as that not the source of the issue.

Yes, that appears to fix the problem, although whenever I update my Nvidia driver through GeForce Experience after the device reboots the brightness is still stuck at maximum.
I tried installing driver 526.47 and the issue persisted. I downgraded to the one from Dell's Driver website and the brightness adjustment worked. I thought this would be just a driver bug, but then yesterday I installed driver 526.86 and the brightness got broken again. Is this a Windows issue or an Nvidia issue?

But this requires you to downgrade from newer driver updates from the NVIDIA Geforce App, is there anyway to fix the brightness issue while still having up to date graphics drivers?

I have the same problem. I can change the brightness level only after the restart. And it set to the level I set before the restart.
I also tried updating AMD and Nvidia and others, still I've got the same problem.
Please anyone suggest solutions!!! Thank you.
