low fps why and what to do?
Hi, I’m having some issues with lower FPS than expected and could use some help figuring out what’s wrong. My setup is: RTX 4060 Ti, Intel Core i5-14500, 32 GB DDR4 RAM (2x16 GB running at 2600 MHz), ASUS Prime B760-Plus D4 motherboard, 2 SSDs and 1 HDD (all games are on SSDs), and a 600W power supply that I replaced about 2 years ago. My GPU temperature is usually around 50°C idle and goes up to about 70°C when gaming, so thermals seem fine. The problem is that in Rust I’m getting under 100 FPS, and in CS2 I’m sitting around 250–270 FPS, which feels a bit low for this hardware. I’ve kept my GPU drivers up to date and haven’t noticed any overheating or throttling. Could the low FPS be because of my RAM speed (2600 MHz), some BIOS setting, or maybe a power or CPU-related bottleneck? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
