AW610M, AWCC auto install issue
Hi there. I recently bought an AW610M and have discovered a pretty big issue. AWCC (Alienware Command Center) automatically installs when the mouse is plugged in either wired or wireless. The issue is, it installs with no user prompts whatsoever. The user has no choice but to install it. I did plan on using this mouse in work and also on devices that I fix but I cant do that if AWCC is just going to install. I have researched into this and it is happening because when the mouse is plugged in, device manager/windows update attempts to pull a driver and pulls AWCCInstallationManager.exe. I believe this would be an issue on Dells side rather then Microsoft as Dell would have had to have specified AWCCInstallationManager.exe as the driver. I tried to contact Dell through multiple channels of support but have failed. I was hoping that this issue could be escalated to a higher team, a team that would be able to add the following feature: A dialogue box that shows when AWCCInstallationManager.exe is run, asking wether or not the user wants it installed or not. Because as it is AWCCInstallationManager.exe just installs AWCC when it is run and dosnt ask the user. What can I do? Am I in the right place? Im sure this issue dosnt just affect me as im sure many people need to use their devices in places other then home where they cant just have AWCC installing willy-nilly. Thankyou so much for your help in advance!!!!!!!!
