Area-51m R2, enabling AHCI in BIOS causes infinite restart
Title.
Enabling AHCI in BIOS causes infinite restart on my Area-51m R2.
Any suggestions or further info?

If you switch to AHCI in the BIOS , you will not be able to boot into Windows (assuming you were not also doing a clean install). This web page at top-password describes the procedure so you will not have to reinstall Windows.

Intel says always enable RAID in BIOS, even for singleton M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe boot drive. If OS (C:) boot drive has the modern GPT partition format so that BIOS boot list option UEFI can be enabled, your Alienware Area-51m R2 laptop will be very unhappy when enabling AHCI in BIOS.
