alienware updater not working and support assist fail to find updates

as title said alienware updater no longer open and support assist always give errors when trying to find updates, would like to know how to solve , without these programs working cannot update pc , would like a solution soon... seems also the dell updater/alienware updater is missing from services and not know why and if is related to this problem

Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them. Once verified, they will troubleshoot with you.

Before our users can correctly assist in troubleshooting, post your specific Alienware Laptop model.

@DELL-Chris M​ for now i solved using a restore point to a earlier date when both support assist and alienware updater was working , before i tried contacting dell on the whatssapp number but after they noticed warranty expired no longer replied to my messages , i'm a bit disappointed about such behavior... , is that support only for those with active warranty? thanks

@DELL-Chris M​ do u know if even those with warranty expired can get support? for future problems... fortunatelly had those restore points for resolve this issue , thanks

Out of warranty users must pay for support.

When your device is out of warranty, you have several options for support:

  1. Check Support Entitlement: Determine your support entitlement status using Dell System Information or your Service Tag on the Dell Warranty & Contracts page. For clarification, you can contact Dell support.
  2. Renewal Options: It is advisable to consider renewing your warranty when the device is functioning well to ensure continued support.
  3. Paid Repair Services: If your device has a hardware failure, you can opt for Dell's paid repair service. You can create a service request through Dell Technical Support.
  4. One-Time Fee for Remote Support: You can pay a One-Time Fee for remote assistance with a technical specialist. This includes:

    • 2 hours of support for a single technical issue.
    • Troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  5. Onsite Troubleshooting: If onsite troubleshooting is necessary, you can request a quote for an engineer visit. Note that:

    • The engineer will not bring parts; they only provide troubleshooting.
    • Charges apply for visits during office hours, with different rates for out-of-office hours.
