Alienware Pro Wireless Headset, white noise after update

Hello!

Just purchased this headset. There appears to be some weird issues with the radiu 2.4 Ghz connection. First, there was some static pulse noise thingy, more noticeable on low volumes and when there was not much audio feeedback (for instance, a quite scene in a movie or some hiddle moment in gamming). It was reported a bit everywhere on the net. This was fixed with the recent January update to the headset and dongle. But a new issue was introduced, that is simply unbearable for me: there is a constant white noise being produced. Like before, noticeable on lower volumes, but always there. In fact, I find it to be even louder than the static issue from before, so in my eyes (and hears) this is a step down from that "fix".
Anyone have found the same, or know it there any prospect by Alienware to fix this, or at least we have some way to address the issue on our end?
I have kind of senstive hearing so for me this is a major deal breaker, so need to know kindly if I need to search elsewhere for some nice headsets.

Thank you!

I also have this issue. Have you heard back yet with a fix?

Having the issue even after the latest update. And the dongle is not usable since it creates issues and distortions in sound. Basically, I can only use it with Bluetooth, but I get this weird low static noise on ANC on. Still under the return window and wondering if I should return it. Dell, can you tell us if you are working on a fix for this in Apr or May 2025?

I'm experiencing the same issue with my brand new pair. Version of the dongle is 2.9 and the headset itself is on 3.9.2. I will send them back as I highly doubt that Dell will fix this issue in time for my return window...

I spoke with Dell Support about the pulsing sound, despite doing a firmware update. They told me the "Pulsing Sound" is expected behavior!! I've owned multiple ANC Headsets over the years, and never experienced this. Bummer I have to return them over this, as the Audio Quality on the headset is simply phenomenal.

@pdxcomputerpro They say it's "expected behavior"? That's literally not a thing with any other ANC headset. I returned mine a while ago due to that issue, among some other things. Shame though, the headset had real promise.

@Cmmdrpudintater Yeah, I'm on the fence about returning them. 1., I got them all with Dell Rewards so they were practically free. 2., they sound so epic....tempted to use them without ANC. Going to give them a few days and see what I think. If the Mic was a little better, I'd be even more inclined to keep them.

@pdxcomputerpro I feel like a major selling point for the price is their ANC though, so if you aren't going to use that you may as well go with a cheaper potentially better/just as good headset. I guess you got them with your points though.

I have the same issue, had the headset for barely a week.
Static/white noise on low volumes and no way to get official support...

Anyone figure this out yet? I always get the static, unless I'm plugged into the audio jack.

@stewartce try using the dongle square thing that comes with the cord. And plug the dongle to it to bring the distance between the headset and the dongle closer. The dongle is terrible and you pretty much need to have it as close possible. Real shame Dell doesn't fix the dongle, for the price of this headset, you would think...
