18 Area-51 AA18250, Camera Not Detected
Today the camera on my Area 51 18 laptop quit working. Windows is telling me there is no camera detected. Is there a switch or keyboard shortcut where I could have inadvertently shut it off?
I don't know if it's related, but Device Manager is showing an "Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)". Dbl Clicking the entry shows:
Device Type: USB controllers
Location: Port_#0020.Hub_#0001
Device Status - Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43) The USB set address request failed.

Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share with them the private Service Tag, issues, this thread link, and all of your troubleshooting. This will in turn generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag.
18 Area-51 AA18250 Owner's Manual page 127. BIOS System Setup--> Integrated Devices shows Camera with an option to Enable or Disable. Is your camera Enabled there?
Does this free online webcam test identify a camera?

@DELL-ChrisM2 The webcam test page you provided informed me that my browser (Edge) was blocking access to the camera. It gave me a button to click that reenabled it. I'm not really clear on what setting was changed or how and why it got disabled in the first place. My camera settings in Windows Settings were unchanged. In any case, it seems to be working again.
Thank you for your help,
Bob

Unknown USB device sounds more like a hardware issue, but remove any drivers you have, reboot and see if Windows reinstalls them.
