17 R4, 17 R5 motherboard

4 years later and still no groundwork?

I have a 17 R5 motherboard in from China directly and none of anything has went towards any bit of work of making this motherboard in particular light on my touchpad.

i have a 7th gen 1070 17 R4 with a working back light and swapping the cables and while busting the mounts on it, nothing hooked to the 17 R5 made the light function and evrrything powered the backlight when it was plugged into the 17 R4!!

Yes, I’ve checked the BIOS setting. BIOS upgrade AWCC version s, deleting the drivers and auto install…

the 17 R4 had a fresh install but always worked including the W10  from before, but does OS recovery have the drivers?  The download link in Dell downloads doesn’t work!!

should I scrape the drivers from the 17 R4ms drive or OS recovery before it fails like all the orher 17R4 boards have?
