16X Aurora AC16251, adding new 2280 NVMe SSD?
I had a question regarding installing a new 2280 NVMe SSD. I bought a 2280 NVMe SSD. But I recently noticed that Dell states you can only use a 2280 if the device originally came with a 2280. Mine came with a 2230. I was curious about the reasoning behind not being able to use the 2280? Because the motherboard has screws for the installation. Is it thermal related like my version doesn't come with good enough cooling, bios related, or something else? I understand Dell has these recommendations for a reason. I just hate to have to send it back. But I will if there is absolutely no way to use it.
Thanks for your time!!

aurora 16x?
This needs to be moved out of Customer Care and into the correct hardware board. Do you mean the desktop Aurora R16 or the laptop 16X Aurora AC16251?

@DELL-Chris M Could you put a link to where this topic should be posted as I can't seem to find this topic anywhere, nor understand where you are referring to.
Of course, it might be a mute point as I see they updated the manual, and it no longer states that you can not put a 2280 SSD in with a 2230 SSD.
