X51 R1, Windows 11, 1060 upgrade

Have a alienware x51 r1 with 330 power brick with intel i5 with 16 gb ram , 1 tb ssd drive , windows 11 home with nvidia 1050ti 4gb gpu , was looking for extra gpu ram to install nvidia 1060 6gb gpu . but have issue where windows 11 device manager doesn't see the 1060 gpu and nvidia panel doesn't see it. I reseated it 6 times. made no difference, i plugged into the two different 6 pin connector to gpu, made no difference. i unplugged the 6 pin connector to see if pc would say something and in dos boot up , it said to plug in power cable to nvidia gpu card so dos see it but not windows. have the lastes bios A14. only difference between the 1050 ti gpu and the 1060 gpu is the 1050 ti doesn't require or has 6 pin power connector where as the 1060 needs  6 pin power connector and has 6gb ram where 1060ti has 4 bg ram. any ideas or has only came across this and ow did you fix. would getting R2 D85RT power board make any difference . cheers

Test the 1060 on a different machine to rule out faulty card.

@Chino de Oro Tested it on different machine non Alienware and works , won't show in windows 11 device manager and nvidia panel.

If the hardware side is confirmed working, verify with firmware side.  With the 1050 ti installed, access BIOS settings and change Secure Boot from current state.  Swap out the video card and test again.

when you say, change secure boot from current state, what you means . do you mean go into bios save by pressing f10 or ?

Using a retail card on Dell systems may require to disable Secure Boot or enable on some.  Therefore, the suggestion to test with Secure Boot enable/disable depending on which current state the system setting is.  Obviously, new settings must be saved when exit.  You can change it back if that does not solve the issue.

I try it later whe home from work, question, as my x51 r1 doesn't have D85RT power board with fan, does it matter. I'm Not even sure where it be or installed , on motherboard or attached to gpu cage that holds the gpu card

I believe that is power distribution board for the R2.  I don't know the difference but the R1 uses VHFMM or D0HY5.  If your system is functioning, it already has one.
