Pro Wireless Headset - volume wheel doesn’t work on PS5

Is anyone else having this issue and is this something Alienware are going to resolve?

Online Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset User's Guide

Page 17 =
Volume control is done via the AWCC (Alienware Command Center)-> AlienFX Menu-> Settings-> Volume
Volume: View and adjust the volume by using volume control bar.

Page 28 =
Click the volume icon on your computer. Adjust the volume level on the volume bar.

In both cases, that is a Windows 10/11 computer with AWCC installed. There is no reference to Playstation volume controls. That means that the Playstation volume control must be done inside the Playstation volume control panel,  Settings-> Sound-> Audio Output-> Volume

This is bothering me because not being able to adjust volume on the actual headset and having to go into the main menu is annoying especially when the headsets £220 as well

@DELL-Chris M

then why have a volume wheel? I have to agree with first post it’s annoying to have to adjust volume in awcc. For $220 should be more convenient

I also had this same issue with my PS5. I was able to control the volume when I connected them to my laptop and phone. Adjusted the settings on my PS5 but still was not able to. I ended up returning them, $200 headphones not worth it if I can't adjust the volume on them.

@DELL-Chris M Hi Chris, is this something that can eventually be implemented  via a software update?

If not, then I'll be returning these as well. The main appeal was that I could use them with my PC and PS5 flawlessly. But it seems it's not flawless if I can't even control the volume?

I purchased these when they came out assuming oh they will fix this in the very first patch. I was definitely wrong. Why doesn't dell do something, at least respond and tell us we stop expecting them to fix their

Don’t expect Dell to fix anything trust me lol my Alienware laptop still doesn’t work correctly after 2 years and multiple posts on other forums from other users and it’s a problem that Dell created and still to this day has not been fixed my next pc will not be from Dell.

Hey Chris, I please hope you get a chance to see my last response to you:

After using the product for the last week, I absolutely love it. From comfort, to both input and output quality. As well as the convenience of how easy it is to swap between devices.

However, this slight issue (not so slight), makes a huge difference for me. So please do respond soon :)

@ZeeAreBee As I stated earlier, I can only show you what the User's Guide states as supported. I cannot speculate on an unknown software update.

@DELL-Chris M No worries, thanks for being straight up and basically saying no :)

Regardless, even if this is not a planned update, I'm deciding to keep the headset. Despite the few faulty software issues, it is by far the most comfortable, best sounding (input and output) pair of headphones I've ever tried on.

Love it, absolutely convenient, and all the ANC, noise pass through etc, are all great.

Problem still isn’t resolved. Just purchased these for myself not knowing this would be an issue considering I don’t have a computer yet just a PS5. Dell needs to do better.

@ZeeAreBee me too i will keep them i bnought them on disccount because i had dell rewards from an aurora r16 and i have steelseries pro wired too and razer too but from all i find them the most comfortable i had an issue with the windy background noise on 2,4 connection but was fixed on jan 8 update, playing on pc but ps too both of them on my gaming desk and for ps i am using the steel series wired but would be nice a fix with the volume too. i lost not hope on alienware i think they have their pride they are long on market on gaming branche and i hope they come with accessories on top too. for PC i was always happy even that after 3 months my alienware cooler was broke i received after 1 day new piece home .
