If you are returning make sure you contact Dell tech support for a return authorization and do it within 30 days of receiving the system.

The are many other retail 240mm AIO coolers available besides CryingTech.

This looks pretty cool . . . would make your R16 one-of-a-kind!

@ProfessorW00d I don't think you can put an AIO on the top in an R16, not without modification.
Looks like they use a custom bracket to hold the 2 top fans in place with clips rather than screws, although the bracket seems to be screwed down (from the side!) with 2 screws.
Take a look at this: R16 top fan mounting
AIO Mounting
I am thinking there are no screw holes in the top of the case. Looks like the rad is clipped in place rather and I am thinking the bracket for the AIO is different than the bracket for the fans. Would not surprise me if you need a different bracket if you want to install an AIO instead of fans on the top...
For sure a different bracket. So I am thinking unless they sell the AIO bracket AND the AIO clips in place, you cannot just upgrade to liquid cooling as there's no standard mounting solution like in a regular case.

@Vanadiel Yes, I see what you are saying. While I do not have an R16 to inspect the construction details, I am pretty sure I could get a 240mm AIO mounted in the top of that case.

@ProfessorW00d We will have to wait for Steve to take one apart, to see what he has to say about it. I am thinking the case has no holes for screws at the top. Really bizarre they would design this bracket when all they needed was standard screw holes in the case...
I don't see that bracket being any cheaper than drilling 8 holes...

@Vanadiel possibly a manufacturing decision??? You can add and remove the AIO or exhaust fans without removing the top case panel, which would be required if it were 8 screws.

@ProfessorW00d Ah, is the top an actual panel? On my case it's a magnetic dust filter, so super easy to access.
I would love to get my hands on an R16 to play around with that bracket. I wonder how tight the clips are? Must be tighter than with a fan, to hold all the extra weight.

@Vanadiel looks like the top cover is easy to remove with a single latch . . . but you would need to remove the front bezel to access the latch.

@Stan215 from where did you end up sourcing the AIO?
