Dell Free Game With Purchase - NOT!

Bought the Dell Aurora 1250. Came with Battlefield 6. 

Done paying, I went for the game to download.

I was sent to another web a site (can't remember it), gave it a lot of my information (not identifiable stuff) then sent to another site where I pasted (from the copy) the 'key'. 

It kept telling me it didn't recognize me.

I wonder, has anyone else had this issue?
