Can't follow delivery status - a suggstion.

I received a email that amongst a dozen things, has a link to check the "delivery status", but when I click on the link, it opens a page to download and install stuff - stuff that won't run on Windows 7. The page auto-detects all kinds of things on my Windows 7. I cancel out .

I know, nothing but me supports Win 7 any more. The crux is, I bought a Alieanware Aurora ACT 1250 upgraded to a NVIDIA RTX 5080, and Intel i9 Ultra. But right now, it doesn't work, but will after the new parts arrive.

So, I use the working Win 7 to find out the ETA of the new parts. Why Dell still assumes that the device we connect with is the problem device.

It's really kewl that Dell can distinguish one thing from another , but --- when something is broke, then what?

Just hoping that a tech thinks this through and let's the kahuna's that manage the service side of the sites tweaks it to not auto-force itself on a guesstimated device.

Hey! Only 53 days left to shopping days for Christmas Season. J
