AW3821DW, AWCC prevents PC from sleeping

I can't find a way to contact a tech rep since my Alienware AW3821DW monitor is out of warranty last year. But the issue is NOT with my AW3821DW, it is with the AWCC (Alienware Command Center) software that keeps getting downloaded to my PC without my consent. AWCC keeps my PC from sleeping every time it gets installed. I know for a fact that it is AWCC that is keeping it from sleeping because every time I uninstall AWCC, my computer can go to sleep. This issue has been posted before years ago by others. How has this software bug not yet been resolved? I have tried uninstalling, but it keeps being re-installed. I have tried changing the AW3821DW to a generic driver in my windows settings thinking that would thwart automatic driver updates to the monitor driver, but that didn't stop AWCC from getting redownloaded every few months to my PC. I am so tired of waking up every few months to my PC having been running all night long with the AW3821DW on. It has got to be bad for my AW3821DW. Please help.
