AW3425DWN, Mac mini, not zooming
I have a Mac mini and apps and video is no problem. On the two HDMI input, I have the Apple TV, which of course has 16:9 content, so 21:9 movies are imbedded in 16:9 medium/broadcast. The Alienware monitor only stretches 16:9 content. I need Zoom function to fit 21:9 movies to FULL SCREEN while having 16:9 medium. Why can I not do this or what do I need to do to view 21:9 content without the black bars on the screen?

I have an Mac mini hook up to monitor no problem, but I also added an apple tv...
So displaying 16:9 VIDEO is no problem as it stretches the image...the problem is displaying 21:9 content on the 21:9 screen...I STILL GET BLACK BARS ON THE MONITOR!!! WHY??? BECAUSE ALIENWARE WILL ONLY STRETCH 16:9 CONTENT NOT ZOOM TO FILL SCREEN... DEFEATING THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF BUYING A 21:9 SCREEN!!! 21:9 movies are imposed on 16:9 signal AND DELL REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM

The AW3425DWM was only tested/validated by Dell in Windows Operating systems 10/11. You can see this on the AW3425DWM Drivers & Downloads page.
There is not a Aspect Ratio zoom function.
The AW3425DWM Menu--> Display--> ASPECT RATIO gives you three options = 21:9, AUTO RESIZE, 4:3

Sadly it nothing for 21:9 movies... because it is embedded in 16:9 meta... All that does is give me Black Bars on all four sides!!!

Pretty sad that a 'high tech' company can't do their own equipment right...a 21:9 monitor that CAN NOT EVEN DO 21:9 MOVIES CORRECTLY... And they refuse to correct the problem....
Now the 21:9 movie is 32:9...
