AW3423DWF, no input detected, random, black screen
Hello, my Alienware monitor AW3423DWF randomly loses connection and goes into standby mode while I'm working. It's very disruptive, random, and hard to reproduce on demand. It can happen 5-10 times per hour or none all day. In fact, while I'm typing this, it went in standby 3 times and I had to disconnect to finish the post on my laptop's native screen.
When it does occur, I wait 2-5 minutes and it might recover but typically I unplug the monitor to speed things up. This workaround doesn't last and the issue can retrigger in as little as 2 minutes.
BOTH of the below laptops have the same issue when connected via USBC or HDMI using the included cables or cables of my own. I'm on my 3rd replacement. Dell support has asked that I troubleshoot, update firmware and reset the monitor each time. Each time it doesn't work and they send me a replacement.
- Alienware x14 R2 (Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060)
- Macbook Air (M2)
Does anyone know what's wrong? My cheap 1080p monitor before the Alienware had 0 problems with the same laptops so I'm at a loss.

I have the same exact monitor, started doing that to me as well and now none of the inputs work anymore. Always says 'no input detected'. I am just out of the warranty a couple months so looks like yours is on the way out as well. I'll never pay for another dell monitor again, 1300$ for 3 years of use is horrible.
