AW3423DWF, horizontal bars while playing and black screen for 5 seconds

Alienware 34 Curved QD OLED Gaming Monitor AW3423DWF

Alienware 34 Curved QD OLED Gaming Monitor AW3423DWF

Hello, I have a problem while playing, strange horizontal bars appear, not always, but quite often, sometimes a black screen can suddenly appear for a few seconds and nothing is visible while playing and it appears again, I have tried various options, from turning off g-sync to enabled, updating drivers from components to the monitor and performing various graphics card stability tests for artifacts I will add that the monitor was already under warranty once in May this year and I received information that it would be replaced with a "new" one and apparently that is what happened. I received a product with a different service tag.

My components:

Monitor: Dell AW3423DWF Original <Service tags Removed>
Mobo: Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X
CPU: Intel Core I5-13600K
GPU: Gainward RTX 4080
RAM: 2x16 Kingston Fury 6000MHz
AIO: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420
Disk: M2 1Tb
System Disk: M2 512GB
System: Windows 11 Pro

If the monitor has been replaced and its "new" -- different service tag but same model, then you should check if a hardware related GPU issue is present and verify if all values for the GPU have been set to factory settings as in overclocks and all that set to off.

Other than that its not much you can do if the monitor itself isn't the issue, its hardware related or best case scenario software related.

Lmk.

The graphics card has never been overclocked, neither has the processor. As for the problem, it's quite strange that I had similar symptoms before and after replacing it for 2 months, everything was fine, in my opinion this monitor is some kind of defective version

@maksio322 I have that monitor, had it for 2 years now. No issues on the latest firmware.

I would do a monitor diagnostic test as per page 63 of the manual
