AW3418DW, standby and turned off power draw and heating

Hi,

I always was wondering why my monitor is always warm on top, even while sleeping. But only now I tested power draw during standby

Constantly drawing about 19-20 Watts in standby

Even if power off button is pressed, it's still 19-20 W (measured with (Kill-A watt)

Top of the monitor is always warm, so definitely something is wrong. These watts add up and are pretty expensive now and I am concerned about hazard. Something is heating 24/7.

Dell Support must first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private AW3418DW Service Tag with them.

This was released in 2018. How long have you had it? Did you buy it directly from Dell?
