AW3225QF, What does "Legacy Device" mode do other than disable DSC?

I am aware that the "Legacy Device" option is what disables DSC on the monitor, and caps the refresh rate to 120 hz, but I am wondering if there are any other downsides to enabling this mode while using it on Windows. Does this setting affect anything related to HDR brightness, color, etc?
