AW2725QF 4k 180Hz Dual Mode Monitor

It looks extremely pixelated and blurry on 1080p 360Hz mode, this is definately not how it's supposed to look:

I need help fixing this. I tried resetting to factory default, changing display settings

Strange your Windows is saying 1080p is the "Recommend Resolution" for a 4K-Monitor... what's up with that?

Normally, you run nice monitors at their (full) Native Resolution (and that's the one Windows recommends).

@Tesla1856

Thanks for replying.

AW2725QF is a dual mode monitor. 4k 180hz, and 1080p 360hz mode.

When I switch to 1080p 360hz mode, the recommended resolution is 1080p.

And it looks really blurry on 1080p mode

@Pls_help41 You have to switch it from the OSD, not the desktop.

Go to the Overclock section of the Game menu and select 180 Hz. Once this is working, select the 4K icon in the OSD quick menu to switch to FHD resolution. Visit the Overclock section again and set it to 360 Hz. Then, you’ll be able to switch with two presses of the joystick. When making the change, do it from the Windows desktop, not in-game. That way, it will be seamless.

Do note your DPI goes down when using 1080P mode, so it will look less sharp due to lower DPI.

@Vanadiel

I know how to switch it.

The problem is the screen looks very pixelated in 1080p mode. I know 1080p looks less sharp, but mine looks like 420p or something.

I think i figured it out. Atleast made it alot better.

1. Lower sharpness to 50 or 40 i have it at 40 but while in UHD i always set it to 80+. high sharpness on fhd is aliasing city. only viable on uhd mode imo.

2. Dark stabilizer must set to 0.

3. auto resize instead of 16:9.

4. set the dci-p3 ColorProfile in both windows and osd. in osd, you find it in the "creator" preset. i actually do standard in osd and dcip3 in OS but test what works for you.

5. ddc/ci to off (and obviously hdmi cec too).

6. contrast must be at stock value: 75.

7. adjust cleartype text in windows.

i did see some improvement ingame from having gpu acceleration enabled in windows too.

now the real fun begins. but you has to have a nvidia card. hopefully you do.

i will just write them cause im in a hurry. if you are familiar with nvcpl youll find them with ease:

Scaling mode no scaling -  color accuracy mode: reference. and content tyoe: desktop programs (ik what i said before, but if you have nvidia, this is the best in combination with standard preset on osd). - nvidia color settings: 10bpc rgb full - anisotropic filtering to the highest your gpu can manage - gamma corr: on - AA everything on app controlled/on. this will only work in games but better than nothing - transparency multisample - lodbias: clamp - texture: quality. do play around with more of the settings in nvcpl, but these are the main.

the REAL fun begins if you have nvidia profile inspector. but im far from finished there. just know there is a ton of settings in there too that will help. if im had more time id go through some of them but hopefully ive inspired you on your resolution journey.

after doing this its NOT as good as native 1920, but it is very playable i think, and everything looks pretty decent.
