AW2725Q, power light on but no display at all, not even OSD menu
I have a practically brand new AW2725Q monitor with less than 50 hours on it. Recently, it stopped displaying anything at all, even though the power LED comes on blue showing the monitor is on. Even the OSD menu doesn't come on. This happens regardless of if any display cables are plugged into the monitor or not. At first I could get the monitor to come on by unplugging and replugging the power cable, but now that doesn't work any more either and the monitor refuses to display anything.
I found this reddit thread with other people having the same problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1l5w39w/aw2725q_power_led_comes_on_but_no_display/
So it seems I'm not alone and this is a semi-common issue with this monitor. It seems like it could be a firmware issue with the monitor. Is Dell looking into this? I would like a fix.

Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them. Once verified, they will troubleshoot with you.
Do step 3 HERE.

I have already done all of these troubleshooting steps and done troubleshooting with Dell over the phone. This is almost certainly a software/firmware issue. The monitor appears to be stuck in some kind of sleep mode that it won't wake up from. The power LED stays a light, pulsing blue. None of the troubleshooting has been able to wake it from this mode.

Hello, this is an issue for me as well. I had my AW2725Q manufactured in Jan 2025, fail on May 27,2025. I received a replacement very quickly. It was also manufactured in Jan 2025. This replacement AW2725Q failed as well, on June 30, 2025. I already initiated an advance replacement via support, so please do not answer telling me to contact support. The new firmware which came out on June 27, 2025 does not help with this problem so please do not think of the firmware update as a possible resolution. It is a hardware defect. Please, Dell must have had thousands of RMAs on this monitor. @Dell-ChrisM, Please let me know if there is a new revision of this monitor to solve the problem permanently. Thank you.

I'm currently going thru the RMA process for this issue as well. My original display, as well as the replacement display, have had this issue. Original display exhibited this issue randomly after about 3 months. Replacement display (which arrived with screen damage) exhibited this issue after 3 days. Both manufactured in Jan 2025. This must be quite a widespread issue, at least with this batch of displays.

That's my reddit post you linked to. I posted that a month ago and the same thing happened again with the refurb unit they sent. I'm beyond upset about this. I now have to work with Dell support again tomorrow morning.

@KMPJM I get it. I'm on my 3rd monitor as the 2nd worked for less than a day. Dell tech support has told me that they are unwilling to replace the monitor with another model, a new monitor, or refund the purchase.
So, I will continue to receive used (refurbished) monitors that I can only assume have already had this same issue and have been returned by other users.
Now I'm just waiting for this monitor to have the same issue again and have to wait for another to be sent.
All the monitors that have had issues are manufactured Jan 2025.
Every time it happens, I'm out of work for 3 days and spending hours on the phone with tech support troubleshooting their defective product.

Lovely... I have two of these and just updated the firmware earlier this week. They've been a dream but now no on screen menu or anything like the op mentioned. Its being detected by the desktop but unable to roll back firmware or do anything productive to resolve..

I've been having weird errors with this monitor since I got it a few months ago. Most were solved by changing settings such as turning G-sync Settings off in the Nvidia App or turning of Discord overlay.
This is the first time I've had this issue but nothing helped. No PC restarts, no exchanging cables, nothing. Eventually after about the 20th monitor power cycle it powered on and worked...

Purchased my AW2725Q on May 16, this issue popped up today, 7/28/2025. Have been loving the image quality and monitor overall, and I've never had any issues with Dell monitors prior to this. Worked through power-cycling, unplugging for 60 seconds multiple times, but when I power on the monitor without the display chord, no dialogue box, so no self-test, and OSD settings won't display. Multiple PCs recognize the monitor (devices, NVIDIA control panel, display settings), can change monitor settings, but nothing displays, just a black screen. Started the process of returning this monitor for a "refurbished" one, we'll see what happens next. I'm not optimistic that this issue won't just happen again.

This makes no sense. It has to be a software issue.
Exact same thing as DrGeo.
Beyond frustrated.
