AW2725DM, AWCC, firmware update grayed out
So I have the AW2725DM monitor but it will not let me update firmware on the AWCC app? It just stays grayed out even when I have the USB plugged in. Dell refuses to help me. I can't use Dells SupportAssistance because I have Windows 11 Pro. Can anyone tell me what to do or try? Thank you

AWCC (Alienware Command Center) is incorrect in stating, "New firmware is available for this device.".
In your picture, AWCC is partially correct in not showing a version number after New Display Version.
The online AW2725DM Drivers & Downloads page for does not offer a firmware update.
When choosing Windows 10 it offers =
AWCC 6.7.37.0 Full Installer 752.67 MB
AW2725DM INF driver 1.51 MB
When choosing Windows 11 it offers =
AWCC 6.7.37.0 Full Installer 752.67 MB
AWCC 6.7.37.0 5.21 MB
AW2725DM INF driver 1.51 MB

Hi
Try...
How to Update the Firmware on a Dell AW2725DM Monitor
Updating the firmware on your Dell Alienware AW2725DM monitor ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features and bug fixes. Here’s the correct procedure:
1. Download the Firmware Update Package
Go to the official Dell Support page for the AW2725DM monitor’s Drivers & Downloads section.
Locate the latest firmware update (ensure it is for the AW2725DM, not a different model).
Download the firmware update executable file to your Windows PC.
2. Prepare the Monitor Connection
Connect the monitor to your PC using the USB upstream cable (the square USB-B end goes into the monitor, the flat USB-A end goes into your PC).
Ensure the monitor is also connected to your PC via DisplayPort or HDMI and is powered on.
3. Run the Firmware Update Utility
Close all other applications on your PC.
Double-click the downloaded firmware update file to launch the utility.
Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
Do not turn off or disconnect the monitor or PC during the update process.
The update typically takes about 5 minutes.
4. Complete and Verify
The monitor may restart automatically after the update.
Once finished, you can verify the firmware version via the monitor’s On-Screen Display (OSD) or by re-running the update utility to confirm the new version is installed.
Important Notes
Interrupting the update (unplugging the monitor, turning off the PC, etc.) can damage your monitor.
Use only the firmware file intended for your specific model (AW2725DM).
If you encounter issues, consult the monitor’s user manual or Dell’s support resources for troubleshooting.
