AW2725DF, will not stay on, black patch in the top left corner
hi guys I have the above monitor
and since yesterday the display will not stay on but the RGB remains on as does the power LED.
ive noticed that when I can get it to display an image there is a black patch in the top left corner that wasn't there the day before.
and now its there the display will only stay on for a few seconds with a perfect image apart from the area with the patch. I can't see no physical damage to the display in any form, and it's just gone over a year old.
I know it has 3 years warranty
but has anyone else had this happen without any physical damage to the display ??
p.s before anyone says it this monitor lives on my computer desk there are no children here and its always been used as a 4K monitor only.
thanks for any help.

* Turn the AW2725DF off
* Disconnect the DP cable and power cable from the AW2725DF
* Press and hold in the AW2725DF power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect only the power cable to the AW2725DF
* Run the Self-test, pages 88/89
* Reconnect the DP cable and run the Built-in diagnostics
Does the AW2725DF stay on during the test? Did the test pass?

@DELL-ChrisM2
Hi Chris
thanks for the reply I have tried all the steps mentioned and I still get the same issue.
im literally banging my head against a wall with dell support as its not real time.
im starting to think the monitor has an issue and it needs to be replaced or repaired under warranty.
to say I am disappointed is an under statement all my machines are dell minus my MacBook Pro
but then again apple isn't much quicker on solving things.
is there anything else I can try ???
ive been asked to send a picture of the power cable connector end and then a picture of the connecting socket on the monitor ive tried multiple computers including my MacBook Pro I get a perfect image for about 10 seconds and the display then goes blank. im thinking because its an Oled monitor its detecting a short and shutting it down despite the image being great other than a dark patch in the top left corner.
its just a shame its gone like this as the warranty is just over a year old I know I get 3 years on this but that's not the point it should last longer.
anyway rant over lol.
thanks
Jason
