AW2725DF, custom resolution, Nvidia

Hi ,

I just buy my first oled moniror (AW2725DF) but i got a an heavy vrr flicker sometime on game , it goes away when i disable gsync , i read i can negate that with a custom resolution ( 2560x1440@350hz) i want to try that but i cannot create it on nvidia ( option grey out) and i cannot too on CRU

Can someone explain me how can i do that ?

Thanks for the help

PS : I forget i can change the resolution on my second monitor

Monitor is known to have VRR flicker when frame rates change.

Review.

You can try limiting the FPS to 350 inside the game, but chances are you will still experience the flickering as it's difficult to drive a display at a constant 350 FPS, even with a modern high end video card.

@Drabat yes, that monitor is Freesync, and I know it can cause issues when using Gsync on a Freesync monitor.

That is why I switched to an AMD card, to use my screen in "native" Freesync mode.

@Vanadiel So i could just disable gsync it won't improve the latency or other thing ?

Because with my config i can't have 360 fps all time and specificaly on triple AAA games im more at 120fps

@Drabat It's better to use 120 FPS and lock the refresh mode in the game to 120 Hz, than to use native 360 FPS and have large Frame rate swings down to 120 Hz.

That is likely why you get flickering, as it has to adjust the refresh rate to match your FPS and with wild swings it will not be able to keep up without causing flickering.
