AW2725DF, black screen no OSD menu
I bought a AW2725DF and still have not been able to fix this.
It has power, my PC can see it (can see from 2nd monitor in display settings and keep losing tabs on it)
There no OSD and its not backlit.
I have tried different cables that I know work from my 2nd monitor.
Its on latest firmware.
Power cycling has not fixed this and seem to be only solution I can see anywhere online.
Dell Support were not able to help, I raised a ticket and they said contact customer care which I did and customer care said that it wasnt for them but for technical support (who I had made a ticket with first)
And I cant do a live troubleshoot because they are only open 8am-5pm weekdays and I work 8am-6pm weekdays.
Any suggestions from anyone greatly appreciated as I am at a lose.

LustrousWolf -
Don't know if this will do it for you - but power cycling on it's own didn't help me, unless I left the monitor unplugged for a week.
I had to unplug the monitor and then hold down the button under the lower right side of the monitor for 8 seconds in order to wipe out any residual electricity. Then the monitor comes back on perfectly.
BTW Dell sent me a replacement panel (panel only, no cables or stand) under warranty. The replacement is a little roughed up like it's a refurb but the screen looks good turned on. It's an A03 manufacturing lot, so same as what I have. I'm conflicted on whether to return my old one or the new one.

Hi thank you I did try power cycling but wasn’t successful.
Ive tried;
Both DP and power plug are in securely.
A working DP and power plug from my 2nd monitor.
Tried a different port on my GPU and the 2nd DP slot on the monitor.
Cycled power many times, holding power button up to a minute with cables in and out.
Can’t check input source as there’s no OSD.
Graphics card drivers on latest version.
Monitor firmware latest version.
Booted into safe mode.
Can’t factory reset monitor as can’t access OSD
Or if this is also done by power cycle also has not worked.
Tried making it the main monitor and changing resolution and many other options.
There’s no OSD and the screen isn’t backlit even though it has power.
I am sure I have tried other things but can’t remember them all to list here.
Really feel at this point I need a replacement.
If there is anything else anyone can think I should try please let me know.
Thank you

I have two AW2725Q monitors. One had this exact problem about a month ago. Dell replaced it under warranty. Today the replacement monitor suffers this problem again. So you are not the only one. There is a reddit thread in OLED_Gaming with many users experiencing this same problem. The new firmware from June 27 does not solve this problem.

Having the same issue. Got it to come on one time by unplugging it, clearing the power and waiting twelve hours. Worked perfectly fine but immediately ceased functioning after I turned it off. Cannot get it to turn on again, even by doing the same thing. Really frustrating too because I purchased the monitor less than two months ago. Definitely going with a different brand next time.

Same issue here. Any fixes that anyone is aware of? Tries factory reset but it didn't seem to do anything.

Same issue here. Doesn't seem like Dell really cares, nor has anyone found a fix.

If doing this below does not fix the issue "black screen no OSD menu" =
* Turn the AW2725DF off
* Turn the computer off
* Disconnect EVERY cable (power, HDMI, DP, USB-C, USB-B, USB-A) from the AW2725DF
* Disconnect every peripheral device from the AW2725DF
* Press and hold in the AW2725DF power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect one video cable to the AW2725DF and the computer
* Reconnect the power cable to the AW2725DF
* Turn the AW2725DF on
* Turn the computer on
Then your only recourse is to contact GHN (Get Help Now) on the right. They must verify the ownership and warranty status. Share the private AW2725DF Service Tag and all of your troubleshooting with them.
