AW2523HF, slows like turtle after upgrade the firmware to M3T104, A02-00
Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor AW2523HF
Hello, I have a monitor Alienware 25 AW2523HF and it used to work pretty well, as intent until a stupidly think that I could improve it perfomances even more by upgrading the firmware to the lastest version... After I went to M3T104, A02-00 it gots too slower, like a turtle compared with it used to be. now when I play shooters, I feel like the players just appear in front coming from nowhere with no chance of reaction, it was not my network, the latency also increased(changing of color), feel like it is working at 2 ms or 3 ms now. I want to downgrade the firmware to M3T103 or M3T101, the one it came for default and i cant find this firmware anywhere. it used to work perfectly on 103.
Could you pleause send me a link with M3T103 or 101 firmware? You also must release another update to correct the M3T104, A02-00, It is so sad that a monitor that expansive gets such annoying issues. Everyone is complaining about how slow the monitor gets after updating to M3T104, A02-00...

Re: it used to work perfectly on 103......think that I could improve it perfomances even more by upgrading the firmware to the lastest version.
The firmware M3T104 fixes issue of monitor shows different sharpness effect between left and right side of screen. It does not improve performance to a monitor that worked perfectly.
This monitor was tested with M3T104 firmware and reviewed by RTINGS. No mention of bugged firmware https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/alienware-aw2523hf. Doubt that you can downgrade or Dell will release any new firmware to fix the M3T104.
Follow the recommended Override Setting on RTINGS to see if it may help.

@Chino de Oro Hi, I read that review on rtings and that is what made my mind to buy this monitor. The problem is that rtings tested using M3T104 and only, as they did not tested using any previous firmware they can't compare which one is more stable or faster... I do because it used to be much faster before I upgrade the firmware's version, i swear.
The firmware M3T104 fixes issue of monitor shows different sharpness effect between left and right side of screen.
its supposed to do that, but adding code correcting is quite possible to inject issues either, bugs and malfunctions, that is not done on purpose but happen quite a lot. What I am pointing at is after the update even it being designed to correct an issues, the monitor got slower as a turtle ready to die lol. Would be possible find the M3T103 firmware? I really want to downgrate it, otherwise i going to sell this monitor and never buy an alienware monitor again, I want a drive upgrade that increase the performances, or stability not to ruin the experience.

There was no doubt about your report regarding the monitor performance issue. Was hoping that the recommended settings from the tester (RTINGS) could help to resolve it.
If you had not try a reset, check your monitor manual and perform a factory reset. That will not restore the old firmware but it will restore all settings to factory specs.

I am using my previous monitor Gaming monitor DSP24 240 24.5 1ms to compare it feels much better, no lag... Somehow this update affected in some way response time, introducing latency. Its not as fast as the Alienware used to be, but the experience feels less frustrating than playing on Alienware now. Hope that a day they release a update of conduct a further investigation why it is that slow.

it keeps unsolved. Not available link for who wants to downgrade the version. I put the same resquest on DELL Brazil, there is unsolved either. Just bought another monitor and i am attempting to sell this one, since there no plans for understand what happened or release a correction. The only choice is to buy another brand, the others doest release update to limite its performance.

I removed the solution as it's indeed not a solution.
