AW2523HF, firmware M3T104
Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor AW2523HF
I updated the firmware from 103 to M3T104. After the update the Monitor looks more blurry and has sharpness issues. With the older firmware it looked much better. It also has signifcant input lags.
On the website of this firmware here:
It says
Fixes & Enhancements
I thought this is true and updated it cause it says critical issue. But that was a big mistake. Dell didnt solve the problem. Dell just made it worse the different sharpness effects from left to right is now everywhere. The whole monitor has sharpness issues. I guess Dell employees thought to solve this issue you just make the bad sharpness effects everyhwere so you dont notice it just on the right and left.
I even have 2 of these monitors and I see a big difference how badly that firmware impacted the monitor.
Not only the quality of the monitor fall on top of that you even get more input lag. If you move your mouse you clearly feel it is slower than with the older firmware update.
This is the dumbest improvement I have heard of. making your monitor more blurry with more sharpness issues and making input lag higher. Do these Developers at Dell test their firmware ???
I really regret to have updated the monitor apperantly you cant downgrade to previous firmware
I also have seen other people here saying similar things. The update exists since this march.
If there is no update in the near future I would like ton return my monitor cause as I said I have 2 of them and I clearly see and feel the difference
