AW2523HF, firmware M3T104 not updating, #2
I'm experiencing issues updating the firmware on my AW253HF monitor. I have attempted the update multiple times using both Windows 10 Pro and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise. Here are the steps I've taken so far:
- Tried different USB upstream cables
- Used various video sources
- Swapped different DisplayPort cables
Despite these efforts, I'm unable to update from firmware version M3T103 to M3T104. The update is marked as 'Critical' because it fixes the sharpness levels, which are currently different on the left and right sides of the screen.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any suggestions on what I might be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure the USB cable is connected and all other USB devices are not plugged in, and make sure you start the updater in administrator mode.
You might have to try a different USB port of it keeps failing.

I thought it might be my motherboard but I just tried a laptop as well. I tried using the onboard DP rather than the GPU's. Fail fail fail. It's like it fails before it even starts. I ran procmon and the only thing I noticed really was
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses.libusbK.dllcould not be found inC:\Windows\SysWOW64.Is there any possible way to get a copy of the M3T102 firmware? I see others having similar issues and being able to fix it by jumping 3 and going to 4 on there AW monitors. I know how to update firmware. I had this monitor previously but the condition it arrived in was not acceptable so I had a new one sent to me. But that one upgraded the firmware just fine and this one it just doesnt seem possible.

It uses the USB connection to update, not the DP or HDMI connection.
Make sure to connect it directly, not with a USB hub.

I understand that, I was just trying all possibilities on the off chance it might actually work. The USB upstream cable is connected directly to the motherboard and I have tried all USB ports on my motherboard. In the images in the included pdf help section there is no video cable connected. Maybe I should try that I guess?

I flashed my DWF without any issues, with all the cables hooked up.
Is the USB hub on the monitor operational?

Odd, could be some incompatibility between the USB chipsets. Apart from that, it should just work...

I agree, I just hope they have a new firmware soon so I can see if it will update. It's odd because I had an identical monitor a week before that I successfully upgraded with the same setup I have now.

Hello, excuse my English, the same thing happened to me, when trying to update the firmware, I also get an error when I start doing it, the monitor goes black for 1 second, then I get the error that you cannot delete the log, I did the same as you, changing the connection to different USB ports, the USB cable that comes with the monitor works well, the USB ports on the monitor work, I have tried several things, changing cables, etc. It just won't let me update the firmware from MT103 to MT104.

But why do you say that you feel terrible with the latest firmware, it is supposed to fix various bugs, screen sharpness problems on the right and left sides, tell me what happened to you and how you were able to update, please, thank you.

Hey everyone, sorry for the late reply—I had kind of given up on a fix. With a few of us facing similar issues, does anyone know the right protocol for escalating this with Dell? Since it's happening to multiple users, maybe there's a specific process we should follow to get their attention. If anyone has contacted support already, it'd be helpful to know what they said or what steps we should take to get this resolved.

I'm facing the same problem. I've tried updating my monitor using a USB, but it isn't detecting the USB. Additionally, my monitor keeps blinking, going into standby mode for about a second. I tested multiple DP cables, so the issue doesn't seem to be with the cables.

Is there any way for someone to send the older firmware? I updated to the new firmware version and the monitor looked horrible
Existe alguma forma de alguém mandar o firmware mais antigo ? atualizei para a nova versão do firmware e o monitor ficou horrível
