AW2523HF, coil whine noise

Hello, everyone! I recently bought the Dell Alienware AW2523HF monitor, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! It’s, hands down, the best monitor I’ve ever used. Issues like IPS glow and backlight bleed didn’t bother me at all. However, I did notice the dreaded Coil Whine, which got me wondering—was I just unlucky, or is this a common issue with all AW2523HF units? If any other owners can shed some light on this, I’d really appreciate it.

In my case, the noise seemed to come from the lower-left side of the monitor, and that area got incredibly hot—almost uncomfortable to touch. My unit is Rev A08, manufactured in September 2024. I’ve tested all available drivers and firmware, tried different power outlets, and experimented with various grounding setups, but the issue persists. If anyone can help me with this, I’d be truly grateful. Thanks in advance!

As for the noise, I found that it was quite noticeable at 360 Hz, slightly quieter at 300 Hz, and gradually reduced as I dropped the refresh rate, becoming almost inaudible at around 165 Hz during normal computer usage. However, it wasn’t completely gone. Interestingly, the monitor was completely silent at 60 Hz. Any refresh rate above that seemed to trigger the infamous Coil Whine.

In the first image, the arrow points to the part of the monitor that gets extremely hot. In the second photo, I’ve highlighted the rear section of the monitor where the noise seems to be coming from.

Additional information: I know that Coil Whine doesn't indicate faster deterioration of the product, but the noise is so annoying that I can't use the device without headphones. Additionally, the monitor developed a dead pixel in less than 24 hours of use, and Dell Brazil refused to replace or repair it. That's why I decided to return the product. However, I'm considering buying it again, as it was the only IPS monitor I tested where the IPS glow and backlight bleed didn't bother me. I appreciate any help in this regard, as I have heard reports from both people who did not experience the issue and others who encountered the infamous 'coil whine.' However, I’m not sure if the people who didn’t notice the noise simply can't hear that frequency, which leads them to believe their product doesn't have this problem.
