Aurora R8, ram upgrade issue
Hello,
I've encountered an issue with upgrading the ram on my alienware r8. It had 2 hyperx fury 2×8 gb ram sticks which were in white slots 1 and 2. I removed those and installed 4 crucial ddr4 pro 3200 4×16 gb ram sticks in all the slots for 64gb.
On reboot, My alienware is stuck on a black screen with 4 flashing led lights indicating memory failure. I removed the cr2032 battery and the cmos jumper pins as well but it wouldn't go past the flashing led lights. I tried to go back to the original hyperx fury ram sticks but it also displayed the same issue. I tried the same battery/cmos reset but no luck. I tried swapping the slots and still the same issue. Sometimes it only blinks 2 led lights when I have 1 ram stick installed or goes back to flashing 4 led lights.
Can anyone help me with this? I want to go back to a working pc as before. Even if I don't have the extra ram, I want it to work the same.
