Aurora R16, very slow upload speed

<Moved out of Laptops and into Desktops. DELL-Admin>

Recently bought a alienware aurora r16 its got the killer E3100 Gigabit Ethernet controller, i checked the internet speed test and im gettin 350 down/0.22 up, ive tried it thru a ethernet cable and thru wifi same results, when i check the same network either with my laptop or my phone i get 350 down 25 up. If anyone has heard of a similar issue please let me know, thanks in advance

Killer software does it's name justice, it tends to cause more issues than is tries to solve.

You can try the Killer drivers from Intel as they might be newer.

You can disable all Killer' services in Startup apps, then test again.

Some ISPs provide an upload speed that is a fraction of the download speed.

For example, I am with Comcast/Xfinity. I get (just tested, cabled connection) 2331.24 Mbps download but 359.82 Mbps upload, and that is in line with their advertised service rates for a cable-based connection.

What does your ISP say you should be getting?

Having said that, your upload speed on the R16 is much lower than what you are seeing on other devices, so there is something odd happening. Check the support site for network driver updates.

@JohnDotKay  yes i am using xfinity also my ISP on the xfinity account and billing it says 300 down 20 up, i tried updating my ethernet drives or wifi drives windows says their the latest ones, i also tried to look at what was suggested earlier disable start up app killer but it was alredy disabled, tried enabling it and running a test same thing, windows defender is completely disabled same as anti virus because i only use it for competitive gaming so i dont do anything else with it. Ya im at a loss apparently its weird cuz both wifi or ethernet are both acting the same

231/24 would be roughly the proper speed for a 300/20 account, taking into consideration average internet performance.

I don't think there's anything wrong with those performance numbers.

@JohnDotKay old cat6 same result is there a way to connect thru ethernet and wifi at the same time, like i connect them both but its givin me wired results 350/0.22 and wifi 250/24 im wonder if theres a way to use ethernet for download and wifi for upload, i went to my xfinity account n it was just 10$ more to get 500/30 so well see if that fixes it but im almost positive its something to do w the ethernet card
