Aurora R16, RTX 4070 Ti Super, 12GB?

Question

I'm considering purchasing an R16.   Nice specs on the machine for my price point.   Comes with an RTX4070ti Super.   I'm familiar with the specs on these cards (or so I thought)   At the checkout, I reviewed the system specs.   To my surprise I saw:  NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070Ti SUPER 12GB GDDR6X    I've never heard of a 4070Ti Super with only 12GB of VRAM.   Is this some degraded, discount card that is being used or is this a typo?

Just to follow up, I chatted with sales support and he confirmed that this R16 does comes with an 4070Ti Super with only 12 GB of VRAM.   I can't even find a card like this online to check out reviews / performance.  Every reference I've seen online stated these cards have 16gb VRAM.   Thoroughly disappointed.

OEM design decision by the look if it. Combine that with the CPU Intel woes, and I would switch to an AMD system if I was making a new purchase.

@11bee​ hi, did you end up ordering the system? I've purchased then realised this same inconsistency. I'm told it's 12gb also but was also told I'd have to order a 4080 if I wanted 16gb of vram. I'm hoping it's just a typo... the site a couple days after had a new deal and only the 16gb card available, hoping I don't have some unusual inferior card. Too late for me to change or cancel so returning for a refund would be my only option

4070 Super should be 12 GB

4070ti Super should be 16 GB

Maybe they are not aware of the ti part and assume a 4070 super is the same as a 4070ti super.

But it could also be a design decision, you just never know with them...

A typo that has been corrected. Current 4070 ti Super cards show 16GB.
