Aurora R16, LG Ultragear Gaming monitor goes black and black areas
I have the R-16, Nvidia RTX 4070 card and a LG Ultragear Gaming Monitor. Many, many times when I click on a link or somewhere in a program, the whole screen will go black for 10 to 15 seconds and then it's fine. Also, many times when I click in a program, parts of the program will go black and any other programs that are open will also do this. if I minimize them and then maximize them it goes away. There is no consistency to when these things occur, but it is everyday at times. I have brought this problem to Nvidia support and they were no help. They suggested I bring it up here. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Just to check, as you have reached out to Nvidia I assume you have gone through troubleshooting steps with them?
Is your Aurora R16 under any warranty with Dell?

Have you tried any other monitors?
What monitor connection is being used? If it's HDMI, try DP and vice-versa.

No longer under warranty. Switched from HDMI to DP and screen still goes black for several seconds randomly when clicking on something. One video game had a weird line in it that never happened before. I figured that maybe there is some conflict between Alienware settings and Nvidia settings.

@Soggins
I am assuming that switching to DP did not resolve this issue either?
I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps you have taken with Nvidia, but I have listed below some things you may wish to try:
Run Alienware SupportAssist to check for any driver updates for your system.
Run a hardware check on the same.
Remove the Drivers and Reinstalled them again.
Check for firmware updates for both the monitor and and GPU drivers.
Lastly, is your Monitor LG brand by any chance?
- Please consider giving my post a 'thumbs up'.

@defasound I have done all of your suggestions and yes, it is a LG Ultragear Gaming Monitor Gsync compatible.

@Soggins Turn off Gsync and see if the issue goes away. I used to have random black screens on a 3080 system until I put a 7900XTX in it.
The 3080 is fine as it's used in another system without any issues.

@Vanadiel That didn't work. Same as in the past.

Nvidia just released new drivers and Black Screens were mentioned several times in some of the fixes. I'll see what happens.
