Aurora R16, Geforce RTX 4070, random black screen
I have an R16 and Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070. Can anyone explain why, at random, I get a black screen for several seconds when I click with the mouse. It does not happen every time I click, but it happens several times a day. Video drivers are always up to date. Any ideas?

Amazing how no one has an opinion.

@Soggins
Static electricity will do the same thing. Anytime I return to my desk and touch the monitor, mouse, or keyboard (especially the cable) I see a flicker and momentary dark screen.

Thank you for the reply. Mine does not do that. It is random. I can click on several things and all of a sudden it happens. It also can blacken parts of an open program and if I minimize it and then maximize it it goes away. Nvidia had no answers nor did they seem to care.

Perhaps the video card is not seated fully or the video card cabling is not seated fully. Remove and reconnect the video card in the motherboard slot and all video card cabling. Then retest.

@Soggins - Have you made any headway with this? I have a similar issue. It does not seem to be an application issue, but I too suspected my mouse. Unfortunately I swapped out the mouse for another but nothing improved. Happens 2-3 times per day. It close most running applications and then I have to restart. It happens overnight EVERY night at some point. Support wants me to do a full reset but I would really like to figure out what the issue is. Thx.

@MichaelEGauthier No. Same as always. Nobody cares. I have an old XP computer and a Windows 10 computer running with no issues. Once in a while I'll try changing some setting to see if that makes a difference. What dell or Nvidia should do is send me another video card to see if that's the problem. But neither cares about customer service and loyalty.

@Soggins Thanks! Not the answer I wanted of course :-) I'll keep you posted if I discover anything. Michael
