Aurora R16, fan not detected, am I out of options?
Hello,
I bought an Alienware Aurora R16 at the end of May last year. It's been an incredible PC with zero issues. The other day, I came home to the dreaded "fan not detected" and the whole computer crashes. All fans are running, and liquid cooling feels like its working.
After a quick google search, this is a VERY common issue with these computers. My only option with support is to pay to send it off which I honestly just don't feel comfortable with paying for the service, paying for shipping, and someone having my computer which could barely understand my problem to begin with. Not even including what they'll charge for the actual service and parts.
I have no issues to paying to get this fixed, but I've never had a PC die on me in one year, especially a hardly used $3000 PC. And after seeing so many people have the same issue (luckily they were in warranty) that it's an obvious faulty part.
What's my options here? I don't want to ship this thing off. I'm having no luck finding replacement parts. All the fans are working fine, not sure if it could be a sensor. Am I just sitting on a $3000 brick? This will be my last time buying Alienware that's for sure.

What is the exact error you are seeing? What fan is not detected?
