Aurora R16, Ethernet port suddenly died?

I have an Alienware R16 and this morning when I turned it on, the Ethernet wasn't working. So here's what I tried.

Restarting computer.

Restarting modem.

Different port in modem.

Same cable worked on laptop and other computers have wired Internet working.

So I disabled and reenabled the connection.

Uninstalled the connection and restarted.

Uninstalled the driver.

When I went to reinstall the driver, it says my Ethernet doesn't exist.

So...my Ethernet port died for no reason? This PC is only 6 months old.

You are under warranty then, so I would strongly suggest calling Dell tech support. And yes, ports can suffer a failure out of the clear blue.

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Aurora R16 Service Tag with them.

Did you try this?

* Turn the Aurora R16 off
* Disconnect every cable and peripheral device from the rear and front of the Aurora R16
* Press and hold the Aurora R16 power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect all cables and retest
